IGC SYMPOSIUM at Orly, Paris in January 2012 IGC Symposium 2012 on Advances in Powder Surface Characterisation.
This one-day symposium on Inverse Gas Chromatography (IGC) technique for materials characterisation is being held in Paris (France) on Monday 23rd January 2012. This symposium is jointly organised by Surface Measurement Systems Ltd., UK and Adscientis, France.
The Symposium is driven by the increasing demand for advanced experimental techniques for characterising the physical and surface chemical properties of complex particulate solids. The programme will journey through the latest, most up-to-date knowledge and experience on powder surface characterisation, using the IGC technique. The aim of the Symposium is to facilitate interdisciplinary interactions within the research community and will feature eight international speakers from both industry and academia discussing their experiences in using the IGC technique.
‘Early Bird Discounted Registration’ by 16th December 2011. More information and registration form can be found on the website www.igcsymposium.com

* Dynamic Vapor Sorption Webinar This informative webinar will be broadcast at both 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM EST on Friday, November 19.
Dynamic vapor sorption, commonly known as DVS, is based on the gravimetric determination of vapor interactions. By varying the vapor concentration surrounding a sample and measuring the change in mass it produces, the speed and quantity of solvent absorbed by a sample can be measured. The majority of DVS experiments are done with water vapor to measure the effects of different relative humidity conditions. Humidity can adversely affect a range of materials from food to pharmaceuticals to hair to building materials and many more materials. Knowing how water vapor interacts with these materials can yield vital information for the proper formulation, processing, and storage of these materials.
In this live webinar, the Dynamic Vapor Sorption technique is defined, real-world examples of the usage and advantages of this technique are discussed, and Particulate Systems/Surface Measurement Systems unique instrumentation solutions are described.
