Technical Writer / Marketing Specialist We are a small scientific instrumentation company based in Alperton, London HA0 4PE (www.thesorptionsolution.com). We are looking for a technical writer who also has marketing skills in e-marketing and experience in design branding is desirable. The role would suit somebody with a science or engineering degree / Phd. You must have a proven flare for writing and interpreting technical data / diagrams. Experience in Visual Basic in Word and Publisher 2010 would be advantageous. Duties o Create / maintain instrument brochures / flyers / posters o Create and maintain technical manuals o Create and maintain all templates (quotations / sales order forms etc.) o Responsible for all email campaigns / reports ( we currently use Outlook and SwiftPage) o Responsible for scheduling and sending out demo instruments and marketing materials as required globally o Responsible for company stationery and business cards o Liaise with Research & Development department / application scientists / service personnel and sales teams as necessary o Responsible for Company Press Releases and adverts o Responsible for Company newsletter o Disseminate new release information to all relevant parties o Responsible for Consumable catalogue o Market surveys o Maintain company website and possibly on-line in due course o Liaise with designers and printers o Create and control version numbers o Update master document indices o Any other ad hoc relevant duties
You will need to deliver documentation across multiple projects in a timely manner. In addition, you must have excellent oral and written communication skills together with the ability to translate complex technical information in to plain English.
