Vapour Generator Series:

The VGI series is a range of custom built accesories that allow the user to accurately and precisely control the temperature and humidity of the sample area. Using SMS developed technology the VGI series side steps condensation problems encountered with stand-alone humidity generators enabling precise data on solvent-adsorbate interactions to be collected.

Dynamic Vapour Sorption - DVS
Advantage:

The DVS is now a well-established gravimetric technique, using SMS developed technology to facilitate the rapid collection of vapour sorption isotherms on a range of sample sizes with unrivalled sensitivity.

Dynamic Vapour Sorption -DVS-HT

The DVS-HT, high throughput dynamic vapour sorption analyser, is the first parallel multi-sampler for micro-samples. This system is able to analyse between 1 and 10 samples at a time, in similar time and sensitivity to the DVS Advantage.

Surface Energy Analyser - SEA:

The SEA is a new second generation Inverse Gas Chromatography instrument. The SEA is an advanced instrumentation for the characterisation of particulates, fibres and thin-films. It opens up a whole new world of sorption solutions.

The DVS Intrinsic:

The new DVS-Intrinsic was specifically designed to meet the needs of the small to mid-sized laboratories, and combines ease of use with a low capital investment and maintenance burden. The Intrinsic is expandable for operation of up to 5 units from 1 PC.

Dynamic Vapour Sorption - DVS    Vacuum

The adsorption of vapours and gases on porous materials is best studied under vacuum. Traditional gravimetric methods use a ‘static’ vacuum technique, whereas SMS uses a "dynamic" approach.  You can now enjoy the capability of obtaining accurate sorption properties of your materials using solvent vapors and/or gases.

Software:

At SMS we have a team of highly skilled software developers who are continually striving to improve and incorporate new ideas into our instruments' software. If there are any features you would like to see added to the current versions please contact us via our feedback form, as we are always interested to hear of ways in which we can enhance the solutions we provide.
